The segment control of active twist rotor is investigated to evaluate the effectiveness in power reduction. A numerical model for predicting isolated and loads steady level flights deployed validated. parametric sweep amplitude phase angle uniform single-harmonic conducted demonstrate mechanism optimal schedules layouts reduction while considering saturation limits are obtained using an optimization framework based on genetic algorithm. Up 5-seg configuration considered. results indicate that reduces more than by applying divergent each segment. load distribution disk harmonized both circumferential spanwise directions. 2-seg 3-seg configurations appropriate, with segments yield limited benefits they may be penalized increase system complexity.
